Vital Signs (Urdu: وائٹل سائنز) was a pioneering Pakistani pop and rock band formed in Rawalpindi in 1986. They are widely regarded as Pakistan's first and most commercially successful pop act, often credited with laying the foundation for the country's pop music industry. Their debut single, "Dil Dil Pakistan", released in 1987, became an instant hit and is considered an iconic patriotic anthem. The song's popularity was bolstered by a music video directed by Shoaib Mansoor, and it was later voted the third most popular song of all time by BBC World. Decades later, their music pulls on every 80's and 90's child's (now adult) heartstrings, evoking a sense of insane nostalgia.
