Junoon is one of Pakistan’s most legendary rock bands that pioneered the genre of Sufi rock — a fusion of Western rock music with traditional Sufi poetry and South Asian musical elements. Formed in 1990 by guitarist Salman Ahmad, with Ali Azmat on vocals and Brian O'Connell on bass, Junoon quickly rose to fame with their powerful lyrics, spiritual undertones, and electrifying performances.
